NATIONAL PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT WEEK, MAY 1-7

You've been waiting and now it's here! Each year the Public Relations Committee of the National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) develops special integrated activities for you and your class to do during National Physical Education and Sport Week, May 1-7, and provides you with ideas to help promote this special week within your school and community. The theme, "Active In America," is designed to share cultural related activities that will help students learn about America while traveling across this great country. We hope you will enjoy sharing the following activities with your students and colleagues. They were developed to help teachers creatively integrate lessons while teaching national and state standards for physical education. NASPE/Polar Principals' Contest

NASPE and Polar have again teamed up to encourage principals to actively participate in and assess their school's physical education program. The first principal from each state to register online will receive a free Polar Heart Rate Monitor to wear while participating, and afterwards, each participating school will be eligible to win one of five Polar Starter Technology Sets, valued at $3,368 each!
