Public Library Opportunity

The Division of Dental Health (Virginia Department of Health) is collaborating with Virginia Public Libraries to highlight Children’s Dental Health during February. The Division of Dental Health has produced and supplied all public libraries in Virginia with children’s bookmarks with the slogan: Reading Makes Me Smile.

Public libraries have been encouraged to display a table of dental health books, and devote one of their pre-school ‘story time’ sessions to dental health. They are welcoming volunteer dental health professionals to read a dental health book and talk about dental health to young children.

Please call your local library to volunteer!! It is a quick and easy way to promote dental health and the importance of dental health professionals in the community.
